When I posted It's all about developer.force.com last week, I thought to go through one of the Salesforce resources Force.com Blogs. I found something interesting there and so thinking to share through this blog.
With reference to my previous post Moving to cloud computing can be smart decision for governments companies and one of the Salesforce blogs Can Government embody innovation? | Developer Force.com Blogs, I see that there are many companies like BasicGov, Cloud Safety Net and LaunchPad that are doing innovations through Salesforce.com platform and helping government process to be smoother and efficient and thereby enabling the benefits reach out to the common masses.
Taking an example of BasicGov, it’s mission is to help state and local governments provide better services to its citizens. They accomplish this by offering a suite of modules that streamlines and automates processes in community development to achieve smart growth and sustainability goals. One of the widely known is the Citizen Portal where one can “view status of applications, complaints, communications online”.
